Prior to upgrading to full-featured ERP, the North Carolina-based business tracked its inventory in a spreadsheet and its financial data in Excel. When the company began doubling sales year-over-year, leadership felt its current processes weren’t keeping up. Spreadsheets couldn’t account for changing inventory costs, and the accounting software didn’t have the workflows necessary to record the cost of goods sold, an important financial metric.
In addition, they needed an eCommerce website to serve as a public image for their products that can sell to both B2B & B2C clients.
As a result, the Modessa Couture team did double data entry — manually and could not project their products to the forefront in an organized manner.

Leeway started by conducting a thorough assessment of Modessa Couture’s existing systems and processes. This involved understanding their inventory management challenges with spreadsheets and the limitations of their financial tracking in Excel.
